Holmes Cup Reliability Ride October 23, 2011

This morning what looked like a record high amount of riders turned up at the Blundeston Plough for the Holmes Cup 50-mile Reliability Ride. The Holmes Cup is an Inter-Club trophy between Great Yarmouth CC and Velo Club Baracchi and covers several events including Time Trials (both open and club events) and the finale – today. Points are won for each club in the time trials for scratch (the fastest) and handicap and today’s event a point is won for each rider who turns up.

After the dismal weather of last weekend it was good just to get out in the dry and put in nearly 4hrs “steady” riding with Liam Gentry this morning.
