Reid completed the ride in 36 hours (which included 1 1/2 hrs sleep) as a further qualifying ride for this year’s 1200k Paris-Brest-Paris ride.

Kate Churchill of VCB rode the Flatlands 600km Audax this weekend as well. It included extensive sections of Fenland, but was otherwise not entirely flat. The ride started from Churchend, Dunmow, Essex, with controls at Red Lodge, Whittlesey, Boston, Kirton-in-Lindsey, Glew’s Garage, Goole, Gainsborough, Sleaford and Chatteris.
