A number of new members are joining Velo Club Baracchi in time for the next season and more are welcome.
Besides the website, contact can be made with the club through Tandem Steve’s Cycles in Lowestoft High Street.
Last Sunday’s club run was popular. The wonderful weather helped set the scene for a successful ride.
John Thompson reported that he had done two Christmas lunch rides to join Suffolk CTC section members.
The first was on Thursday at The Bell pub at Cretingham going via Uggeshall, Halesworth, and Walpole to Peasenhall, and thence to Earl Soham and Cretingham for the lunch, returning via Brandeston and Framlingham to Dennington to begin with. It came to 68.75 miles.
He also went by train to Ipswich and his ride included Bentley and Capel St Mary. The CTC lunch was at Great Wenham. His ride was in total just short of 21.25 even including an accidental detour and he saisd it was, “A ridiculously short ride but it was very predominantly on ‘first time’ roads so still very pleasing and it was something different.”
